03 Illegal Firearms and Weapon-Making Machines Seized; 1 Arrested
In a significant breakthrough, under the leadership of Senior Superintendent of Police, Nainital, Prahlad Narayan Meena, the Ramnagar Police have arrested an accused with illegal firearms and a weapon-making machine, following a crackdown on unlawful activities in the district.In line with the directives from SSP Meena to curb crime and control illegal activities, police stations were instructed to conduct intense checking campaigns. As part of this initiative, Ramnagar Police, under the supervision of SP Crime/Traffic Nainital, Dr. Jagdish Chandra, and the leadership of Inspector Arun Kumar Saini Sho ramnagar, carried out a routine checking operation.During this operation at Tumdiya Dam, the police arrested Mahmood, son of Abdul Warig, a 35-year-old resident of Faridpur Haji, District Moradabad, with illegal weapons and weapon-making equipment. The arrest was made following the recovery of the firearms and related material. An FIR (No. 34/2025) was registered at Ramnagar Kotwali under sections 3/5/25/27 of the Arms Act.
